The Origin “Free Verse” in Iraq Literature Возникновение свободного стиха в Ираке

As is obvious from the abovestated article the main role in the forming of contemporary Iraqi literature belongs to foreign periodical editions (newspapers, magazines, etc.). Just from abroad newspapers modern Iraq writers draw for themselves new information and ideas got more knowledge.
In such a way in Arabian poetry appeared new genre “free verse” representatives of which were young poet’s as-Sayab and al-Bayyati. In this genre a poet could freely express his thoughts and ideas not thinking about the rhyme. In spite of numerous sharp critique the genre of verse libre ranked its own place in Iraq poetry and was accepted by the society.
