Nefsin ölümsüzlüğü tezi İslam filozoflarında olduğu gibi Tûsî’nin de felsefî sisteminin gerektirdiği zorunlu bir sonuçtur. Bunu gerektiren neden, nefsin manevî ve basit bir cevher oluşu ve potansiyel olarak varlığını sür-dürebilme gibi özellikleriyle bedenden farklı bir özelliğe sahip olduğu yö-nündeki telakkidir.1 Peki İslam Meşşâî filozofları ve özellikle de bu gelene-ğin temsilcilerinden olan Nasîruddîn Tûsî, nefsin soyut bir cevher oluşu ile onun ölümsüzlüğü tezi arasında ne tür bir irtibat kurmaktadır? Bir başka ifa-deyle: Nefsin soyut bir cevher oluşundan hareketle nefsin ölümsüzlüğü tezi-ne nasıl gidilir?
In this article I have dealt with Nasiraddin Tusi's conception of immortality of soul depending on his writings. I have dealt with that how did Tusi explain the conception of immorality and endless of the soul, or on what gronds substantiate this problem which have been mentioned. In this context I have researched his views and arguments about this problem. But first of all I have mentioned the views and thoughts of Islamic philosophers who worked on this issue before him. This method is important from course to determine that had Tusi got new or different views in this thought system. Accordingly I have evaluated Tusi's views with comparing with the views or thoughts of other Islamic philosophers in context of matters which have been mentioned. Furthermore in this article I have explained that how Tusi did’s the conception of endless of the soul has importance in his philosophical system.
