İslamdan əvvəl Әrəb cəmiyyətində qadına göstərilən münasibət tarixə bəllidir. İstər Әrəbistan yarımadasında, istərsə də dövrün iki super gücü İran və Bizansda vəziyyət ürək açan deyildi. Öz cəmiyyətlərində heç bir hüquqa sahib olmayan, hər zaman əzilənlər təbəqəsini təmsil edən qadın Әrəbistan yarımadasında yeni dinin gəlməsi ilə həyat səhnəsinə qədəm qoydu. Bütün haqlardan məhrum olan qadın artıq İslam dininin hesabına cəmiyyətdə söz sahibi olmuş, kişilərlə birgə cəmiyyətin inkişafına təkan verən bir çox sosial-iqtisadi fəaliyyətlərdə yaxından iştirak edirdi. Həzrəti Peyğəmbərin (Ona Allahın xeyir- duası və salamı olsun!) vəfatından sonra da qadınlara qarşı bu davranış davam etmiş, qadın kişilərlə bərabər cəmiyyətin ağır yükünü çiyinlərində bərabər daşımışdır. Ancaq zaman keçdikcə İslam düşüncə tarixində bəzi geriləmələr və ətalət baş qaldırmış, Quran ayələrinin əsas məqsəd və prinsipləri unudulmuş, zaman və reallıq məfhumu əsas alınmamış, bu səbəbdən də İslam dünyası “Mədəniyyət qatar”ından geri qalmışdır. Heç şübhəsiz bu gerilik və ətalət cəmiyyətin əsas döyünən ürəyi və “katalizator”u hesab edilən qadından da yan keçməmişdir. Hədis ədəbiyyatında Peyğəmbərə istinad edilən bəzi mətinlərin kor- koranə qəbul edilməsi, düşüncə “süzgəc”indən keçirilməməsi zaman-zaman qadının bir çox məsələlərdə cəmiyyətdən uzaq durması, sosial tərəqqinin təkan verici amillərinin işə salınması və canlandırılması fəaliyyətindən kənar qoymuşdur. Məqaləmizdə Quranda ən uzun ayələrdən biri olan və qadının da şahidliyinin istənildiyi bir ayədən bəhs etmişik. Hər zaman cəmiyyətdən uzaq duran və utanc obyekti kimi qələmə verilən qadın artıq kişilərlə bərabər şahidlik kimi çox ciddi bir proyektin tərkib hissəsinə çevrilmişdir. Ancaq müəyyən bir zaman dilimində bu ayə bəzi hədislərin təsiri altında yorumlanmış, Quranın bizə çatdırmaq istədiyi əsas prinsip və dəyər unudulmuşdur.
Treatment of women in Pre-Islam Arabic world is one of well researched areas. Long story short, the situation on the issue was dire in Arabian Peninsula, just like in both of superpowers of the day – Byzantine and Iran (Persia). Deprived of any social and political rights, women constituted the most undermined part of the societies of then. But the arrival of Islam proved to be a game changer. Women were granted rights to partake in social and political activities that would shape the socio-economic situation of the state. The trend continued even after the death of Prophet Muhammad and enabled to form entirely new generations of women used to equal participation of their societies alongside the men. Unfortunately, things had deteriorated over time as the main principles of Koran’s verses got distorted, and other crucial factors such as failing to adapt to new times and reality had caused the considerable demise resulting in lagging behind of so called ‘Cultural Train’. As per usual, the static period hit women massively shrinking their rights and influence. Hadis literature proved to be one of those catharsis powers behind the shrinking women rights as those hadiths got increasingly misinterpreted without proper in-depth research. In the article, we argue about one of the longest verses in Koran which also invites and requires the evidence by a woman as well. Unlike prior times when women used to be demonized and considered as one of the main culprits of the society and thus forced to be drifted away from the social activities in effect becomes the crucial and integral part of the society when she is invited to take a part as a witness. Sadly, over time, the verse somehow got misinterpreted and under malicious influence of hadiths the misinterpretation became legit narration of the verse. As the result, the whole point of Koran’s focal principle which is based on values and fairness had been distorted.
